Week 26 – 3rd Trimester

October 3, 2011

Well, I am a week late posting this.  We are finally in the last stretch of this pregnancy – the 3rd trimester.  I am feeling better and finally putting on weight.

We had an ultrasound to do measurements and we also meet with Dr. Acherman, Pediatric Cardiologist.  When Dr. Acherman looked at our little boy’s heart he said (in a very cool Colombian accent) “Beautiful heart, Perfecto!” They he asked us if we mind if he takes a few extra pictures for a study for accreditation he is working on.  Our little girl’s heart is just as perfect and beautiful.  We were so relieved to hear this.  One less thing for us to worry about.

Then we meet with our perinatologist, Dr. Vo and she measured my cervix.  She was (and has been at every appointment) surprised at how long and closed off my cervix is for this late in the pregnancy and with twins.  That means my body is doing a great job at holding in the twins where they should be.  Let’s all pray it stays that way until at least week 37!

As far as measurements go:  He is 1 lbs 11 ozs and she is 1 lbs 9 ozs.

Here are a few profile pics of them! He is baby A and she is baby B.
